BUST’D 2 : BUST’D WITH A VENGEANCE

i'm excited to reveal/tease the first few images from my next solo show at gallery 1988, "bust'd 2 : bust'd with a vengeance".

a sequel to the first bust'd show (held back in october of 2014), this exhibition will feature a whole new assortment of 8" x 8" screenprinted pop-culture-inspired busts, themed print sets, original sketches, 1/1 metal prints and a bunch of my wooden sculptures.

it all kicks off at the opening on march 3 in los angeles. hope to see you folks there.

TEDx PHOENIXVILLE : DESIGN

i'm honored to have been asked to contribute to the colonial theatre's TEDx salon series.

the evening's theme is "design", so i've curated a selection of TEDx talks that strike a chord with me. i'll also be giving some behind-the-scenes info on a few of the more drama-filled projects that have kept me awake at night.

WOLVERINE : SCULPTURE

mondo invited me to adapt the wolverine poster that i created for their "snikt. bamf. thwip." gallery show into one of my wooden sculptures. here are some behind-the-scenes shots of that process.

COMP VS. FINAL

one of the most frequent questions i get asked by new clients is "what's your process?". nothing more succinctly illustrates how a first take evolves into a rendered piece than these side by side comparisons of my comps and finals.

the rough drafts (left side of each entry) generally take two days to create while the final drafts usually take an additional 5-6 days to render.
